Joy Wok is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Portland Metro Area. If you are looking for something packed with protein and flavor that is also healthy, you have to order the Tofu and Veggies (chicken and veggies is also great!). When I am feeling like treating myself, I order the Cashew Chicken. The brown sauce they use is so tasty that it's something I've been occasionally ordering for the last four years. My boyfriend always orders the General Tso Chicken, which has never done him wrong. Oh, and their egg rolls are delicious.
Another thing: are you In a rush to pick up your food? Don't worry, you can call them with a huge order 5 minutes before wanting to be there and they whip it up while also leaving it to taste incredibly fresh. The cashiers and servers are always so nice. Next time you're craving something really tasty that also is packed with nutrition, don't think twice about calling Joy Wok because they have never disappointed me! -

Friendly service, clean restaurant but bland food. I even put a lot of spice on my Chicken Fried Rice. Big portions but after reheating my leftovers the following evening, it tasted like soapy mush.

Honestly, some of the best good and service around. It's a 5 star take out place, but not as updated or clean for dining there as I like for a dine out experience. Love the people, love the food, love the location. We eat here nearly once a week.

After trying this spot twice, I've come away disappointed both times. When lunch special today was Sichuan Carrots & Celery with beef flavoring. It was a hunt through the veggies to find the beef. Flavors were good, but it felt more like a warm salad than a beef dish. Also, the place has all the charm of a food court in an large mall.

I have given this place so many tries over the past 10 years. It has been consistently disappointing. It is not tasty, not healthy and extremely overpriced. The worst part of it is that the staff is so rude and dismissive......every single time.
